LADIES AID SUMMARY
After a long winter and canceled meetings, we finally had Ladies Aid on May 8th, 2013. There were 11 members and Pastor present.
>Pastor presented a lesson on ‘Contentment’. Are you content? 1 Timothy 6:8 says if we have food and clothing we should be content. Think about what Jesus had. He was content.
>Our new president Snookie called the meeting to order and welcomed everyone.
>The Secretary’s and Treasurer’s reports were read and approved. The balance in our treasurer is $626.52.
>Several thank you’s were read.
> Snookie read a letter from the youth group ‘Pioneers.’ We decided to support our own youth group.
>MariAnn Wulff gave a report on the district LWMS meeting that was held in Willmar. Marlene gave a short report on New Beginnings . We will send $50 to them again.
>Old business. Our Ladies helped with bingo at Grace Home in January and March. We also served supper to the blood bank workers. Thanks to all who helped!
>Sue Sykora and her cleaning group will do our spring cleaning either at the end of May or beginning of June. The general church treasury will pay this bill.
>Our Christmas donation will be taken in June to send to East Fork Lutheran School, since the December party was canceled.
>New Business We voted on 2013 LWMS board of directors and World and Home missions.
>We discussed by-weekly church cleaning and who the subs are for cleaning.
>A motion was made and seconded to meet at 1 p.m. in June and July.
>The following will help with Bingo May 27th at Grace Home: Bettie, Ruth and Marlene. We will need two workers for the church picnic in June.
>We sang for all birthdays from January to May.
>The motion was made and seconded to adjourn.
>We closed with the Lord’s Prayer and Table Prayer.
>MariAnn served a delicious zucchini cake for lunch.
